Position: Experienced Medical Assistant – Operations Management
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Operations Management department. In this role, you will collaborate with dedicated partners and utilize your customer service, phone, and messaging etiquette skills to address patient and customer inquiries. Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound calls to outreach patients recently discharged from the emergency room.
- Support inbound calls from patients interested in our program.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, handling patient questions, and transferring to appropriate departments when applicable.
- Assist with administrative tasks to support patient care coordination.
- Collaborate with team members and our provider network to maintain an excellent model focused on patient care and high-quality service.
- Become an expert with our software solutions, including Truepill EMR, Slack, and Five9.
Your Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records.
- Effective communication at a high school graduate level.
- Problem-solving and solution identification skills.
- Demonstrable customer service skills in high-volume and stressful situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the patient care team.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from an approved school/institution or equivalent documented training.
- 1-2 years of experience in healthcare-related customer support.
- Past experience in telehealth and/or a startup environment (preferred).
- Located in or willing to work in Central or Pacific time zone hours.
Pay Range: $19.00-$22.00/hour
Schedule: Full-time position with a weekly schedule of Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday.
