{"id":76,"date":"2024-06-27T09:50:58","date_gmt":"2024-06-27T09:50:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bit-ely.com\/blog\/?p=76"},"modified":"2024-06-27T09:53:14","modified_gmt":"2024-06-27T09:53:14","slug":"electrical-technician-needed-in-laval-qc-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bit-ely.com\/blog\/2024\/06\/27\/electrical-technician-needed-in-laval-qc-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"Electrical Technician Needed In Laval, QC Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Full job description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Eaton&#8217;s ES AMER PCS CA division is currently seeking an Electrical Technician.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What you&#8217;ll do:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Primary Duties:<\/strong><br \/>\nReporting to the Services Manager or Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing quality assemblies and comprehensive testing of products serviced by the District Operations Center based on quotes.<br \/>\nEssential functions:<br \/>\nFosters an environment that promotes Eaton&#8217;s goals and philosophies and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.<br \/>\nDevelop internal relationships to assist with material specifications, quality control, purchasing and delivery.<br \/>\nNotifies local managers when product assembly time cannot be met.<br \/>\nCommunicate and resolve issues, concerns and schematic errors with the engineering team.<br \/>\nAssemble electrical products of all levels, including motor controls, circuit breakers, etc. This includes all component-level subassemblies and large-scale units.<br \/>\nVisually check components and assemblies for electrical and mechanical defects.<br \/>\nRead and understand blueprints and schematics for assembly and troubleshooting.<br \/>\nPerform subassembly and wiring of any product as assigned.<br \/>\nConfigure equipment required for testing and perform product testing.<br \/>\nReceive products on site and prepare products for shipping<br \/>\nRefurbishment of used parts and equipment as well as disposal of non-functional parts and equipment.<br \/>\nPerform other duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Basic Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A post-secondary diploma in an electrical engineering program from an accredited institution<br \/>\n\u2022 Legally allowed to work in Canada without company sponsorship<br \/>\n\u2022 Candidates must live less than 80km from Laval<br \/>\n\u2022 Fluency in French and English is essential for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, clients and partners located inside and outside Quebec, as well as to understand technical documents in the field of our industry .<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Certified technician, TP designation and\/or college diploma<br \/>\n\u2022 3 years of experience in mechanical assembly, power supply and\/or control wiring<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience with basic testing and maintenance of electrical distribution and control systems is highly desirable.<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience in warehousing, handling and forklift operation<br \/>\nSkills:<br \/>\n<strong>Position criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Effective communication and interpersonal skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Good organizational and time management skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong analytical skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to read and understand electrical plans and diagrams.<br \/>\n\u2022 Mechanical skills, practical.<br \/>\n\u2022 Good attitude and work ethic.<br \/>\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
